The Naughty Dog Roastery presents the fresh harvestof Keni KARIMIKUI. This coffee, with its higher acidity, will delight your taste buds with notes of sweet lime, red and black currants, and black tea. With every sip, it offers a combination of intense fruitiness, juicy acidity, and a pleasantly long finish that you’ll enjoy from the first sip to the last. The fresh harvest from December 2025 delivers a clean and distinctive cup that you’ll appreciate whether you’re enjoying a slow morning pour-over or during an afternoon break.
The coffee comes from the KARIMIKUI farm in the Kirinyaga region, one of the most renowned areas for growing high-quality Kenyan coffee. The coffee trees grow at an elevation between 1,600 and 1,900 meters above sea level, providing ideal conditions for the slow ripening of the cherries and the development of a complex flavor profile. The lot consists of the SL28, SL34, Batian, and Ruiru 11 varieties, which are characteristic of Kenyan coffees for their juiciness, bright acidity, and fruity character.
The coffee is processed using the washed method, which helps create a clean, fresh, and well-defined flavor profile. After harvest, the coffee cherries are pulped, fermented, and then thoroughly washed with water to bring out the subtle flavor nuances. Thanks to this processing, sweet lime, juicy currant, and an elegant tea note come through beautifully in the cup. The result is a balanced coffee with higher acidity and a fruity profile that reflects the unique conditions of the Kirinyaga region.
