Summer Edition Sunburn from Boo! Roasters is a summer edition that emphasizes juiciness, sweetness, and a distinct fruity character. In the cup, notes of guava, blood orange, red berries , and cocoa unfold , giving the coffee a lively, playful, yet pleasantly rounded profile. The fruity notes give it freshness and energy, while the cocoa tone holds the entire profile together and provides a smoother, sweeter base. It’s a coffee that has a summer vibe from the very first sip and is perfect for hot days, but it also holds its own as a bold everyday drip or espresso.

The coffee comes from Colombia, specifically from the Fresno area in the Tolimaregion, and is produced by El Vergel Estate. The producers are Elías and Shady Bayter of Forest Coffee, who are among the leading names in contemporary Colombian specialty coffee. On the farm, they work with Red and Yellow Caturra varieties and have long been dedicated to a modern approach to processing and building a distinctive flavor profile for their lots. It is precisely the combination of the Colombian terroir, the producers’ experience, and the meticulous work on the farm that gives this coffee its open, fruity, and very memorable character.

Processing is carried out using the Natural Anaerobic method , which enhances the coffee’s sweetness, juiciness, and fuller flavor profile. Anaerobic fermentation helps bring out the intensity of the fruity notes and adds greater depth and aromatic complexity to the cup, while natural drying enhances the roundness and overall sweetness. On the palate, this translates to pronounced guava, the citrusy juiciness of blood orange, notes of red fruit, and a subtle cocoa finish. The result is a coffee that feels playful, summery, and distinctive, yet retains its clarity and pleasant drinkability.
