" Cascara" translates to "husk"; in this case, it refers to the husks of coffee cherries. These husks are a byproduct of coffee processing. After the coffee beans are hulled—which are then further processed on the farm—the husks remain; they are sweet, juicy, and full of fruity flavors. Farmers dry these husks and then sell them as Cascara. It is therefore not coffee.
The Naughty Dog roastery offers an exceptional Cascara that captivates with its pleasant notes of hibiscus, honeycomb, and black tea.
These husks can be used to make an amazing beverage that’s more like tea. It’s high in caffeine, so it’s a great pick-me-up. It tastes wonderful as a hot drink in the winter, and in the summer, you can make an excellent iced version.
It’s a true gourmet experience. Thanks to the harmony of sweet and floral notes, cascara will become an indispensable part of your daily rituals.
