Behind the name Nestor Lasso is a farmer whose coffees are consistently among the most sought-after micro-lots from Colombia, and this special edition perfectly demonstrates why. In the cup, you’ll find a sweet and perfectly balanced coffee with a pleasantly higher, sparkling acidity. The flavor opens with notes of ripe coffee cherries, which are gradually complemented by the delicate aroma of wild rose hips and the sweetness of floral honey. A light hint of spice emerges in the long finish, adding depth and an elegant conclusion to the cup. It is a coffee that feels harmonious and layered, fully showcasing the potential of the Tabi variety.
Behind this lot is Nestor Lasso, a renowned Colombian farmer from the El Diviso farm in the Huila region. The coffee trees here grow at an elevation of 1,750 to 1,850 meters, where the cooler mountain climate and meticulous farm practices create ideal conditions for the slow ripening of coffee cherries. The result is a more pronounced sweetness, a more complex aroma, and a clean flavor profile. The coffee comes from the fresh spring 2026 harvest and represents a selection of the very best that the El Diviso farm has to offer.
This lot was processed using the washed method, which allows the character of the variety and origin to shine through fully. After the pulp is removed, the beans undergo controlled fermentation, followed by thorough washing and slow drying. Thanks to this process, the coffee acquires an exceptionally clean and well-defined flavor profile, featuring fresh fruitiness, floral elegance, and a long, sweet aftertaste. The washed processing highlights the delicacy of this exceptional coffee and allows the work of Nestor Lasso and the unique character of the El Diviso farm to truly shine.
