The Bolivian Gesha Takesi from the Danish roastery Coffee Collective is a pour-over coffee that captivates with its full body, elegant character, and distinctive sweetness. In the cup, subtle notes of bergamot, peach, and melon gradually unfold, creating a harmonious and very clean flavor profile. The fuller body gives the coffee a pleasant texture, while the elegant sweetness ties the individual flavors together into a balanced whole. Thanks to its subtlety and complexity, it will appeal to lovers of clean and sophisticated pour-over coffees who are looking for a combination of pronounced fruitiness, floral freshness, and a long, sweet aftertaste.

The coffee comes from the Yanacachi region in Bolivia, where it is grown at high altitudes ranging from 1,940 to 2,300 meters above sea level. It is here that the Gesha variety finds ideal conditions for the slow ripening of coffee cherries, allowing its characteristic aromatic qualities and elegant flavor profile to develop. The high altitude fosters the development of a complex flavor profile that naturally blends sweetness, freshness, and subtle fruitiness. The result is a coffee with a clean profile that fully showcases the potential of this exceptional variety and offers a balanced cup with a rich body and a long finish.

The beans were processed using the washed method, which is known for its ability to highlight the purity of flavors and the clearly defined character of the coffee. After harvest, the skin and pulp are removed from the coffee cherries, and the beans themselves are thoroughly washed to remove any remaining fruit pulp. The subsequent drying process allows the characteristics of the Gesha variety and the conditions in which it was grown to truly shine. The washed processing promotes a fresh and elegant flavor profile that highlights subtle notes of bergamot, peach, and melon, while the full body and natural sweetness remain beautifully balanced. The result is a clean, harmonious, and exceptionally elegant cup.
