This washed Pink Bourbon coffee from the Slovak roastery Quickborn Roastery is a true delicacy. In the cup, the floral aroma of roses blends with the fruity acidity of lime and the subtle sweetness of pomegranate. Together, they create a delicate and elegant cup of coffee that excels in its purity and freshness. Las Perlitas coffee highlights the characteristics of the Pink Bourbon variety in its washed processing, resulting in a truly breathtaking taste experience.

Behind the creation of this coffee are many small farmers from the Huila region of Colombia. Located in southwestern Colombia and surrounded by the Andes Mountains, the region’s volcanic soil makes it an ideal place for growing coffee. Coffee from this region typically comes not from large plantations but from small family farms. Farmers such as Deiro Gasca, Lizardo Imbachi, Erik Bravo, and Delfin Carvajal contributed to the Las Perlitas coffee. Coffees from the Huila region are known for their sweetness, fruity acidity, and floral notes. These characteristics complement the Pink Bourbon variety perfectly, resulting in an excellent cup of coffee.

Las Perlitas coffee was processed using the washed method, which brings out its floral aroma and higher acidity. On each small farm, the coffee cherries are hand-picked and then carefully sorted. They are then transported to a processing station, where they undergo further sorting to eliminate any potential defects. The skin is mechanically removed from the coffee cherries, and the beans are then submerged in fermentation tanks. After 24 to 48 hours, the beans are washed and dried while being regularly turned.
