Small farmers grow coffee in the vicinity of the village of Zebigi. They are assisted in their work by the QC Lab, which checks the quality of their harvest, improves their processes, and helps them achieve fairer prices. This laboratory, together withThe Coffee Gardensprocessing station, was co-financed by Father's Roasters. The coffee comes from altitudes of 1,800–2,200 meters above sea level, which, together with the cooler climate, volcanic soil, and diverse nature, contributes to slower ripening of the coffee cherries and more intense flavor development.

This coffee is a combination of three varieties, each of which contributes its own unique characteristics.SL14lends it delicate citrus notes,SL28brings juiciness and fruity sweetness, andNyasalandfrom Malawi adds elegant tea notes. Together, they create a perfectly harmonious symphony of flavors. After harvesting, the beans undergo a process called dry fermentation, in which they are left to ferment without the addition of water after the husk has been removed. This enhances the sweetness of the coffee while retaining its bright acidity and complex, rich flavor.

It's not a bad coffee, but I wouldn't buy it again
The taste didn't strike me as anything special; I could sometimes detect a hint of cookies, but that was all I could make of it
Fathers is the only coffee brand where the beans get completely hard within a few weeks, and it’s a nightmare to grind them in a manual grinder.... I don’t know why that is; it only happens with this brand, and I store the coffee the same way and buy it freshly roasted...
