This coffee blend combines the best of two different growing worlds – Uganda and Ethiopia. Both components have been processed using the washed method, which brings purity, distinctiveness and delicacy to the taste.

The Ugandan part of this blend comes from the mountainous Upper Bukyabo region, where coffee trees are grown at an altitude of 1,800–2,200 meters above sea level. This area is known for its steep slopes and microclimate ideal for slow cherry ripening. The coffee is processed here by Coffee Gardens, which emphasizes quality and sustainability. The blend includes SL14, SL28, and Nyasaland varieties, which bring a complex, tea-like profile with delicate acidity and floral notes.

The second component is coffee from farmers in theHambela and Uraga areas of the Guji zone, with whom Kuri Mountain Coffee has a long-standing partnership. For this lot, they purchase only carefully selected dry cherries (known as jenfel) directly from growers, selecting them based on color, ripeness, and aroma, as not all cherries meet the G4 quality requirements. The coffee is then processed in a dry mill in Gidami, where the dry husk is removed. It then travels to Addis Ababa, where it undergoes final processing, polishing, sorting, and preparation for export.

Both coffees are processed using the washed method. Farmers selectively pick ripe cherries, which are then stripped of their pulp using mechanical peeling machines. Fermentation takes place for 12 to 24 hours, after which the beans are washed with clean water and dried in the sun until they reach the desired moisture content. This washed process ensures a clean and bright coffee flavor.
