Industra Coffee presents the beautifully sweet La Cumbre from Nicaragua , a coffeethat will delight all lovers of rich, chocolatey espresso. In your cup, you can expect a combination of hazelnuts, caramel, and dark chocolate, complemented by the delicate fruity acidity of dried fruit. It is exactly the type of coffee that one likes to enjoy every day, velvety, stable, and pleasantly sweet, and it also works great with milk.
La Cumbre is a regional blend of Cafetos de Segovia, composed of carefully selected washed lots of Caturra and Catuaí varieties from the mountainous region of Dipilto in the department of Nueva Segovia. This part of Nicaragua is known for its small and medium-sized farms, where coffee is traditionally grown in the shade within the protected Dipilto-Jalapa reserve. Each lot is cupped separately before being included in the blend, and only those that bear the region's typical flavor signature, chocolate sweetness, nutty roundness, and light citrus notes, are selected. The name La Cumbre (meaning "summit") refers to the highest parts of the surrounding mountains, where the highest quality crops ripen.
Thewashed processing completes the resulting purity and stability. In Nicaragua, it is common for farmers to sell coffee as wet parchment, as the cool and humid climate of the mountainous areas means that drying is moved to lower altitudes, where buyers have better conditions. Cafetos de Segovia dries La Cumbre exclusively on shaded terraces, which slows down the process, brings a more balanced flavor development, and extends the shelf life of the coffee. The result is a beautifully clean, delicately sweet, and incredibly versatile Nicaraguan coffee that definitely deserves a place in your grinder.
