This exceptional coffee comes from the Karimikui farm in the Gichugu region, located in Kirinyaga, an area famous for growing high-quality Arabica coffee. The farm is situated at an altitude between 1600 and 1900 meters, which provides ideal conditions for growing the Batian, SL28, SL34, and Ruiru 11 varieties. The harvest is done by hand, and each step is carried out with the utmost care by the local farmers, who pay attention not only to the quality of the beans but also to environmental preservation and supporting the local community.
The coffee is processed using the washing method, which is preferred here, creating a clean and distinctive flavor profile. After harvesting, the coffee cherries are thoroughly washed and fermented, removing the pulp and highlighting the delicate flavor nuances.
