The Naughty Dog Colombia Las Flores Decaf is a fresh and distinctly fruity filter coffee that captivates with its combination of forest fruits and hibiscus, with a sweet praline finish. The flavor also features notes of red berries and a candy-like sweetness reminiscent of PEZ. The entire profile is accompanied by a pleasant, higher acidity that highlights the individual flavors and gives the cup a lively, clean character. This decaffeinated special edition thus relies primarily on a combination of fruitiness, floral notes, and a sweet finish.
The coffee comes from the Huila region of Colombia and was grown by farmer Jhoan Vergara. It consists of the Pink Bourbon variety, which was grown at an elevation of approximately 1, 750 meters above sea level. This lot was harvested in the fall of 2025. Huila is one of Colombia’s most renowned growing regions, and in this case, its origin—combined with the Pink Bourbon variety—forms the basis for a distinctly fruity and floral flavor profile.
After harvesting, the coffee underwent washed processing, which enhances its clean and distinct character in the cup. Thanks to this, the individual flavor layers emerge quite clearly and complement each other naturally. Higher acidity ties together notes of red fruit with the floral character of hibiscus, while the aftertaste reveals a sweetness reminiscent of candies and pralines. The result is a lively and balanced decaffeinated coffee intended primarily for pour-over brewing.
