The ENDEBESS Kenya from The Naughty Dog roastery is roasted for espresso and proves that espresso doesn’t have to be just dark black-brown, bittersweet, and dense. This modern espresso, with fresh acidity and fruity notes, was roasted for you under the watchful eye of two dachshunds by local coffee celebrities. Their Kenyan blend offers a balanced flavor with higher acidity and subtle notes of dark cherries, sweet lime, and nougat chocolate.
Endebess Estate is a prestigious coffee farm in western Kenya, located in the fertile Trans-Nzoia region in the northern part of the Rift Valley. The farm is situated at a high elevation of 1,750–1,950 meters above sea level, which, combined with volcanic soil and an ideal climate, provides excellent conditions for growing specialty coffee. The farm primarily cultivates the popular SL28 and SL34 varieties, known for their pronounced acidity and complex flavors. This lot consists of native local varieties and comes from the spring 2026 harvest.
The dry processing method is one of the oldest ways to process coffee after harvest. It is often used in areas with water shortages, particularly in Africa and the arid regions of Latin America. With this method, the coffee beans are dried directly inside the fruit, which means the berries are left in the sun, turned regularly, and covered during inclement weather. Only after drying are the outer layers of the fruit removed, yielding green coffee beans ready for further sorting and roasting. Natural processing can enhance the sweetness, fuller body, and more pronounced fruity character of the coffee.
