This Peruvian Pacamara from Liberec-based Mia Coffee captivates from the very first sip with its full-bodied flavor and distinctive character. In the cup, you’ll find an unconventional combination of flavors, where a sweet, slightly spicy cola note blends with juicy orange and a delicate chocolate aftertaste. The result is a complex and rich profile that feels intense yet remains beautifully balanced.
The coffee comes from the Huabal region in Peru, specifically from the farm of Edinson Luis Estela Chilcón, who has been growing coffee since he was 14 years old. His farm is located at an elevation of 1,650 meters above sea level, and despite its small size, it produces coffee with great character. In recent years, Edinson has invested significantly in quality—he built his own processing facilities and a solar dryer, and moved directly to the farm to have full control over the entire process. Together with his family, he focuses on meticulous work and gradual quality improvement, which is reflected in every cup.
The Pacamara variety shows its full potential here—it is distinctive, structured, and unmistakable. This lot is processed using the dry method, which gives the coffee body, sweetness, and more pronounced aromatics. After harvest, the whole coffee cherries are dried without removing the pulp, allowing for the natural development of intense flavors and a fuller body. In this case, drying takes place in a solar parabolic dryer, which ensures stable conditions and a uniform process throughout. Edinson also works with great precision and attention to detail, allowing him to achieve consistent results and a clean flavor profile even in natural coffees.
