Fresh, clean, and sweet—that’s the Bolivia from Mia Coffee. The cup combines notes of cranberry, fruit compote, and caramel, giving the espresso a sweet, juicy, yet nicely balanced character. The acidity is pleasant and lively, but it doesn’t overpower the overall profile; rather, it adds lightness and clarity. The coffee has a smooth sweetness and a clean finish, making it a great modern espresso for those who want a fruitier cup without unnecessary sharpness.
The coffee comes from Bolivia, specifically the Caranavi region, which lies at the intersection of the Andes and tropical forests. It is precisely the combination of fertile soil, ample moisture, and a stable climate that creates ideal conditions for growing specialty coffee. Behind this lot is the family-run Finca Kantutani farm, led by Grover Mamani. The farm covers 13 hectares and operates with an emphasis on sustainability, chemical-free farming, and respect for nature and the soil. The coffee grows here in the shade of trees within an agroforestry system that supports natural balance and production quality. The elevation ranges between 1,500–1,600 meters above sea level.
The processing method is washed, which helps maintain the clarity, brightness, and balance of the final cup. After harvest, the coffee cherries are carefully sorted, then pulped, fermented, and dried for approximately two weeks directly on the farm. This process allows for subtle fruitiness, pleasant acidity, and caramel sweetness without making the coffee feel heavy. The variety used is Catuai, which maintains a sweet and distinct profile well with this processing method. The result is an espresso that is clean, fresh, and approachable, yet still has enough character to be intriguing.
