This fresh and elegant Ethiopian coffee from the Liberec-based roastery Mia Coffee Roastery will captivate you with its purity, juicy fruitiness, and subtle sweetness. In the cup, notes of ripe cherries, citrusy yuzu, and honey unfold, coming together to create a harmonious and balanced flavor profile. Thanks to its pronounced yet delicate acidity, it will delight all lovers of light roasts and specialty African coffees.
The coffee comes from the Chelbesa area in the Gedeb region, which is part of the renowned Ethiopian Yirgacheffe region. Coffee trees grow here at an elevation of 2,000–2,300 meters above sea level, where ideal climatic conditions foster the development of complex and aromatic beans. Processing is handled by Kuri Mountain Coffee, which emphasizes careful cherry selection and precise quality control. The beans are processed using the washed method. After harvest, the pulp is removed from the coffee cherries; the beans undergo fermentation, are then thoroughly washed with clean water, and finally dried on raised African beds. Thanks to this processing, the coffee exhibits a clean flavor profile, clearly defined acidity, and an elegant fruity character typical of Yirgacheffe coffees.
This coffee is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a fresh and distinctly fruity cup with a long, pleasantly sweet finish. It shines best when brewed as filter coffee—whether you choose a V60, Chemex, Kalita, or French Press. It is precisely these methods that allow its delicate floral aroma, juicy fruity notes, and honey-like sweetness to fully unfold.
