You will love thisCosta Rica espresso from the Brno roaster Industra Coffee! In your cup, you will be greeted by a rich, liqueur-like body with a distinctive fruity character, dominated by ripe berries – especially blackberries and plums, complemented by a sweeter brownies note and a warm finish. This coffee is naturally sweet with a bit of "funky" energy, making it a great match for milk drinks and opening up a wide range of possibilities for preparing espresso and milk drinks.
It is grown on the El Bambu farm, run by the Alvarado family in the Brunca region at the foot of the Chirripó peak in Costa Rica, where the ideal climate, fertile soil, and higher altitude provide excellent conditions for coffee cherries to ripen. The farm got its name from the bamboo shoots growing along the stream on its land, symbolizing its connection to the surrounding nature and local terroir. The family, which originally focused on other types of agriculture, threw themselves into growing select Arabica coffee with passion, and thanks to careful management and a desire to further improve quality, they are gaining increasing recognition among specialty coffee lovers.
The coffee is processed using the natural method, where hand-picked cherries are dried together with the pulp, maximizing the sweetness and complex fruit tones in the green bean. Natural processing promotes full body and gives the coffee its characteristic aroma, which develops into sweet, juicy flavors with a subtle hint of ripe fruit in the cup. Thanks to this method, hints of blackberries and plums, which are typical of this lot, remain noticeable in the taste, resulting in an espresso with a distinctive profile and unique character.
