perfect for cold brew
Cold brew with ice—a very refreshing summer drink
The flavors of mango and tropical fruits came through clearly only when using the cold brew method
With the V60, I couldn't get rid of a strange, almost tomato-like aftertaste
I prefer a darker roast

Preparation method: cold brew
Coffee (g): 60
Water (g): 900 (room temperature, filtered)
Grinder (Chestnut C3): 18 clicks
Process: 24-hour steeping at room temperature
(for everyday drinking, it was a good idea to make a blend with some more conservative beans)

I like experimental coffees, especially those with lychee and rose notes, so this wasn’t an impulse buy. But this one goes too far—the rose scent is as overwhelming as sticking your nose too close to a perfume bottle. It dominates everything, to the point where it stops feeling like “real food” and starts feeling… artificial. That’s the main issue. It doesn’t taste like something you naturally want to drink. To be fair, I did find one way to make it work: heavily diluted over ice, it turns into a surprisingly drinkable iced coffee.
