Information from the roaster:
"We roast this coffee as a simple and reliable "office" coffee – darker, with an emphasis on chocolate tones, bitterness, and minimal acidity. Pawffice is a second-grade specialty coffee that scores over 80 points in cupping, thus still belonging to the specialty category. Compared to premium coffees, however, it offers a more straightforward flavor profile without complexity or fruity notes.
Our goal with this coffee is not to wow you, but to provide an everyday companion that won't disappoint and will reliably perform during the workday. If you are looking for a layered flavor and fragrant surprises, we recommend other coffees from our selection—Pawffice is simply made for work, not for experiences."
- The Naughty Dog Roastery
Just as a dog is man's best friend, Pawffice blend from The Naughty Dog is the best friend of lovers of classic intense espresso. This finely tuned combination of coffees from Brazil, Ethiopia, and Colombia, processed mainly using the dry ( natural) method, will immerse you in tones of warm dark chocolate and sweet pralines. The body of this coffee is as strong as a St. Bernard and as sweet as a Pomeranian puppy – but unlike them, it's perfect for milk drinks!
- Brazil – intense chocolate
Coffee from the Teres Pontas area in the Minas Gerais region of Brazil brings a full flavor of dark chocolate, nougat, and sour cherries. This coffee is dry-processed, which brings out its sweetness and velvety body. The coffee trees for this coffee grew in fertile soil at altitudes of around 900–1,100 meters above sea level, which contributes to its intense chocolate flavor.
- Ethiopia - sweet pralines
The Ethiopian component adds a sweet floral complexity to this blend. On its own, it resembles sweet strawberries and caramel fudge, which provides a fresh contrast to the darker flavors of Brazilian coffee. The Jimma region, specifically the Agaro area, is home to native Ethiopian varieties known as Heirloom, grown at altitudes above 2,000 meters above sea level.
- Colombia - caramel balance
Beans from this country, famous for its select coffee, bring smoothness and balance to the blend. This coffee is grown in mountainous areas with rich volcanic soil, which gives it a distinctive and clean taste of caramel and hazelnuts. The dry processing method helps to bring out the natural sweetness, while the dark roast emphasizes its creamy body.
The dry (natural) processing ensures an intense and full flavor profile with distinct sweet notes. With this method , the coffee cherries are dried in the sun after harvesting , which allows them to retain their natural sweetness. At the same time, this method is water-efficient.
