Are you looking for a coffee that will appeal to you with its juiciness and pure taste right from the first sip? Kenya Gatura AA is exactly that – distinctive, fresh, and beautifully balanced. Notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, and fresh cherry cola unfold in the cup, playing together in perfect harmony. The result is a coffee with a pleasant sweetness, refreshing acidity and a medium to full body that will appeal to both experienced coffee lovers and those who are just discovering the magic of specialty coffee.

This coffee comes from the Nyeri region, located in the central part of the country along the slopes of the Aberdare Mountains and Mount Kenya. This area is among the best the coffee world has to offer—thanks to the rich volcanic soil, high altitude, and balanced climate, exceptionally pure aromatic coffees are produced here. It is grown here by small farmers who cultivate smaller plots of land and mainly care for the traditional SL28 and SL34 varieties, both known for their distinctive fruity character and exceptionally high quality.

Kenya Gatura is processed using the traditional washed method, which is commonly used in Kenya and highly regarded for its ability to bring out fruity notes and acidity. After arrival at the station, the cherries are first carefully sorted, then mechanically hulled, followed by fermentation, during which enzymes naturally break down the pulp residue. The beans are then thoroughly rinsed with clean water and dried on raised African beds, where they are regularly turned and protected from rain and sun. Thanks to this demanding but sensitive process, the coffee retains its lively fruity tones while remaining elegant and balanced. Kenya Gatura AA is therefore an excellent choice for anyone who appreciates a cup full of juiciness, purity, and character—whether as part of their morning ritual or an afternoon moment of tranquility.
