The Industrial Supply Series [YELLOW] from People Possession is a filter coffee that builds on sweetness, aroma, and a distinctly playful character. The flavor profile blends white chocolate, banana candies, and rose water, giving the cup a dessert-like quality while remaining unusually elegant. The body is smooth and creamy, the sweetness is pronounced, and the entire cup is balanced by the floral notes of rose water. Thanks to banana co-fermentation, the resulting coffee in the cup tastes almost candy-sweet, exotic, and distinctly aromatic, with a long finish.
The coffee comes from Colombia, specifically the Huila region. The lot consists of the Pink Bourbon variety, which is often found in more distinctive and aromatic Colombian coffees. For this edition, the roaster works primarily with a clearly defined flavor concept. The key to this coffee lies in the combination of origin, variety, and processing, which gives it a distinct and memorable character. It’s the perfect choice for moments when you don’t want a completely classic cup, but something sweeter, bolder, and vibrantly colorful.
The coffee is processed using the honey co-fermentation method with bananas. With the honey method, after hulling, some of the sticky pulp remains on the bean, which affects both the drying process and the coffee’s final profile. In this case, bananas are also introduced into the process, making it a more experimental form of processing. This approach enhances the sweetness, aroma, and playful fruity character. With this coffee, it’s important to consider the processing method just as much as the variety itself, because together they form its distinctive signature.
