Coffee from the La Rochela farm in Colombia, roasted by Oh My Bean Roastery, is exactly the type of cup you will want to return to every day. The flavor blends the delicate sweetness of caramel, the juiciness of a freshly picked apple, and refreshing citrus acidity. The result is a harmonious and balanced profile that will delight lovers of milder but flavorful coffees. Thanks to the washed processing, the flavor is clean and elegant, making it perfect for both espresso and milk drinks. This coffee may not surprise you with its wildness, but it will definitely not bore you—it has character, elegance, and lightness.

Behind this coffee is young farmer Daniela Duque, who is continuing her family's tradition of coffee growing in the Cauca region. The La Rochela farm is located at an altitude of 1,400 to 1,600 meters above sea level and, in addition to coffee, avocados and limes are also grown on its 100 hectares. Daniela brings a breath of fresh air to farming – she focuses on sustainability, treating nature with respect and minimizing the use of agrochemicals. She spent most of her childhood surrounded by the aroma of coffee, the sounds of nature and life on the farm. She works with the German company List & Beisler, which helps export high-quality coffee to Europe. Each batch undergoes thorough evaluation and quality control, from harvest to export packaging.

The Castillo variety used to make this coffee was developed after decades of research at the Cenicafé institute in Colombia. The aim was to breed a resistant, high-yielding variety with the potential for a high-quality flavor profile. Castillo combines the genetics of Caturra and the resistant Timor Hybrid, resulting in a coffee with a full body, pleasant aroma, and delicate acidity. Daniela has gotten the most out of this variety. The washed processing begins with the selection of perfectly ripe cherries, which are pulped, fermented for 18–24 hours, and then carefully washed. Drying takes place slowly and naturally on African beds for three weeks. This precision is reflected in every cup – purity, balance, and delicacy are brought to near perfection.

A delicate yet full-bodied, slightly sweet and aromatic flavor. I usually drink coffee with milk, but I enjoy this one without.
