A classic you can count on every day. Bolivia Era from the Prague-based roastery Doubleshot is an espresso defined by elegance, balance, and a clean profile. The flavor combines the gentle acidity of stone fruits with a sweet note of almonds and molasses, creating a calm, harmonious cup without unnecessary extremes. It’s a coffee that doesn’t overwhelm, but gradually wins you over with its stability and clarity. The ideal choice for an everyday espresso that you won’t tire of, even after a long time.
The coffee comes from Bolivia, specifically from the Caranavi area in the Los Yungas region, and more precisely from the La Hermosa farm owned by producer Julio Palli and his wife Lupe Medina. Processing is handled by the Buena Vista plant under the leadership of the Rodriguez family from Agricafe, one of the key players in the specialty coffee scene in Bolivia. The family has been dedicated to coffee for decades and, in addition to their own farms, actively supports local farmers through educational projects. Thanks to their emphasis on quality, organization, and long-term collaboration, stable and meticulously processed lots are produced.
The coffee is processed using the washed method, which highlights its clarity and structure. After selective harvesting, the cherries are pulped, fermented, and then washed to remove any remaining pulp. This is followed by controlled drying on African beds or in modern facilities with controlled airflow, which helps maintain consistent quality and flavor profile. The result is a clean, balanced espresso with a subtle sweetness and a pleasantly distinct character.
