Elegant, sweet, and full of delicate layers—that's Ethiopia SUKE QUTO HONEY from The Naughty Dog roastery. In your cup, you'll be greeted by juicy notes of ripe pears, floral honey with a slightly velvety character, and the smoothness of milk chocolate, which beautifully rounds out the entire profile. The result is a cup with a harmonious structure, sweet body, and pleasantly long finish that combines the best of the fruit and dessert worlds. This honey lot from Guji is the ideal choice for anyone looking for a coffee that is delicate yet complex and distinctive.
The coffee comes from the renowned Suke Quto farm, located in the Sidamo region of Ethiopia's Guji region. The farm was founded by Tesfaye Bekele and is now one of the pioneers of sustainable farming in Ethiopia. It is located at an altitude of 1,800-2,200 meters above sea level, where, thanks to the high altitude and rich volcanic soil, the coffee cherries ripen slowly and develop an intense aroma. Suke Quto is known not only for its quality, but also for its emphasis on ecology and soil restoration—Tesfaye's goal is to maintain a healthy ecosystem that benefits both the farm and the community.
This coffee is processed using the honey method, in which part of the sweet pulp of the cherries is left on the beans during drying. This method gives the coffee a syrupy sweetness, a fuller body, and a beautiful complexity that stands out in combination with heirloom varieties. The honey process emphasizes fruitiness, a delicate honey note, and roundness, while the Guji terroir is reflected in elegance and purity. This is a coffee that combines tradition, innovation, and passion—and in every cup, it offers a story about a unique place and the people who carefully cultivated it.
