The coffee has excellent acidity, beautifully balanced with a full body and a long, refreshing finish. This coffee is truly suitable for those looking for a high-quality espresso that not only has a distinctive fruitiness but also a velvety smoothness that will captivate you from the first sip.
Gasharu CWS coffee comes from Nyamasheke, an area in the western province of Rwanda, where it is grown at altitudes of 1,600 to 2,100 meters above sea level. Gasharu CWS is a cooperative of 1,650 farmers who are involved in the production of this select coffee. Although Nyamasheke is one of Rwanda's highest coffee-producing areas, the region is still one of the poorest in the country, which has an impact on the living standards of the local population. Coffee is not only a source of livelihood for this community, but also a symbol of connection and sharing. The cooperative strives to improve conditions for farmers not only in terms of cultivation, but also in terms of financial and administrative management, which has a long-term impact on improving their living conditions.
Gasharu CWS coffee is processed using an anaerobic natural fermentation method that lasts 100 hours. During this process, the coffee is fermented without access to oxygen, creating ideal conditions for the development of complex flavors and aromas. After fermentation, the coffee is dried on raised beds, which allows for even drying and preservation of freshness. This innovative processing method is an example of how technology and traditional methods can be combined to achieve exceptional coffee quality that changes the lives of farmers and enriches coffee enthusiasts around the world.
