Peru EL NOGAL from the Copenhagen roasteryThe Coffee Collective is a filter coffee characterized by elegance, clarity, and a delicately floral profile. The flavor profile features clementine, stone fruits , and citrus, giving it a juicy, transparent, and very smooth character. This is a coffee that doesn’t rely on heaviness, but rather on precise aromatics and the lightness with which the individual flavors gradually unfold in the cup. It is precisely this combination of floral notes and fresh fruitiness that gives the coffee its very refined character.

The coffee comes from Peru, specifically the Cajamarcaregion and the El Nogal farm , managed by Neyver Salas Quispe. Neyver is the third generation of coffee growers on this farm and has long been working to improve quality and refine processing methods. The coffee grows in the Cutervo region at an altitude of 1,850 meters above sea level, which creates ideal conditions for the slow ripening of the cherries and the development of a clean, delicate, and floral profile. The Gesha variety fully expresses itself here in an elegant and aromatically distinctive cup.

The processing of this coffee combines the honey and washed methods, which is reflected in the resulting profile. The washed component brings clarity and well-defined flavors, while honey processing helps highlight the sweetness and a smoother texture. The result is a pour-over that feels clean and transparent, yet retains a pleasant roundness and a sweeter, fruity finish. This creates a very balanced combination of floral elegance, citrus freshness, and subtle sweetness in the cup.
