Peru AGOSTO WX from the Coffea Circulor roastery is an exceptional Geisha that combines elegance, delicacy, and surprising juiciness. The very first sip reveals floral notes of chamomile and jasmine, which gradually blend with the sweetness of caramel, ripe mango, and refreshing grapefruit. The aftertaste features honey notes and mandarin, which lend the cup a pleasant sweetness and a long, clean finish. Thanks to its lighter body, juicy texture, and moderately high citrus acidity, this coffee feels exceptionally fresh and harmonious, offering a layered flavor experience that evolves with every sip.
The coffee comes from the Alto Arco Punco farm in the San Pedro de Putina Punco area of Peru’s Sandia region. The producer is Yesica Villasante, who grows the Geisha variety—one of the most sought-after coffee varieties in the world—here at an elevation of approximately 1 ,700 meters above sea level. The mountainous conditions of the Andes, the stable climate, and the slower ripening of the coffee cherries create an ideal environment for the development of complex aromas, pronounced sweetness, and elegant acidity. The result is a lot that received a score of 90 points, confirming its exceptional quality.
The coffee cherries were processed using the washed method, which allows the natural character of the Geisha variety and the terroir itself to shine through. After harvest, the cherries are pulped, then fermented, thoroughly washed with clean water, and finally slowly dried to the optimal moisture content. This processing method yields an exceptionally clean and distinct flavor profile, in which floral, citrus, and honey-sweet notes fully unfold. This coffee is an excellent choice for anyone looking for an elegant filter coffee with high complexity, a delicate texture, and a long, fresh aftertaste.
