Imagine the sweet touch of the Ethiopian wilderness in every sip. Ethiopia Megadu from The Naughty Dog roastery will enchant you with its wonderful combination of forest fruits, ripe strawberries, and velvety nougat. With its medium acidity and intense sweetness, each cup will transport you to the remote mountains of the Guji region. The Bette Buna processing station in the Megadu region has transformed the 74112, 74110 and Wild Guji beans into a unique mosaic of flavors that will remind you why Ethiopia is still one of the world's most beloved coffee destinations.
This exceptional Ethiopian coffee was grown in the heart of the Guji region, known for its fertile volcanic soils and high altitudes between 1,900 and 2,300 meters. The Megadu area in Oromia is famous not only for its beautiful nature, but also for its traditional cultivation of wild and semi-wild varieties, which give the coffee its typically rich flavor and aroma. The Bette Buna processing station has long focused on the precise selection of ripe cherries, careful quality control, and sustainability at every step of the processing.
Theanaerobic natural method used to process this coffee is one of the most demanding but also one of the most effective ways to extract the maximum flavor and aromatic substances from coffee beans. Ripe coffee cherries are placed in fermentation tanks without access to oxygen, where the fermentation process takes place under strict control. This method allows for the intense development of sweet and fruity tones, which are characterized by their distinctive complexity and depth. After fermentation, the coffee cherries are gently dried in the sun, regularly turned and checked to ensure the optimal quality of each bean.
