Sweet and fruity, with a hint of fermentation and lightness – that's Gutiti Natural from Nordbeans in the Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia. You will find juicy mandarins, delicate honey, and an elegant hint of black tea in both the aroma and flavor. This combination is typical of the Gutiti region and creates a harmony of freshness, sweetness, and tea purity in the final cup. The Kurume variety beans bring out the natural character of the coffee, which you will especially appreciate when prepared using a filter.
The coffee comes from the Gutiti selection station and is the result of cooperation between small farmers, the exporter Primrose, and the Czech roaster Nordbeans. It is grown at an altitude of 1,900 meters above sea level near the village of Werka, in gardens without the use of chemicals, in an environment with ideal conditions for slow cherry ripening. Primrose is known for its precise work and strong support for farmers – not only technically, but also through education, financing, and a sustainable approach to the entire supply chain. It is thanks to this collaboration that this coffee has gained worldwide attention – among other things, because Agnieszka Rojewska won the title of World Champion with it.
Natural processing takes place directly on African beds, where the whole cherries are dried in the sun and turned regularly. This gives the beans a distinctive sweetness, fruity notes, and a pleasant juiciness. The result is a full-bodied coffee with a rich aroma that will appeal to you with its purity and complexity from the very first sip.
