Floral delicacy, juicy citrus, and sweet wild berries. That’s exactly what Colombia Yana Milena Quintero Lote 1 from the American roaster Sey Coffee is like. In the cup, fresh notes of rose hips, sweet-and-sour mandarin, and pleasantly fruity mulberry come together. Together, they create an elegant and layered flavor profile in which delicate floral notes intertwine with more pronounced fruity freshness. The coffee captivates with its complex acidity and character, which gradually unfolds with every sip.
Behind this coffee is Colombian producer Yana Milena Quintero, who grows coffee in the Santa María area of the Huila region. Her coffee farms are located at an elevation of approximately 1,900 meters above sea level. For the SEY roastery, this marks their very first collaboration with this producer, whose coffee expands their selection from the Santa María region. Discovering new growers and their exceptional harvests is a key part of the roastery’s philosophy. This lot comes from the July 2026 harvest and represents another exciting addition to their Colombian lineup.
The coffee is made up of the Pink Bourbon variety, known for its complex acidity and distinctive fruity character. It is processed using the washed method. Ripe cherries are first hand-picked and then sorted using water, which helps remove defective fruits. They are then left whole for 24 hours before the skin and pulp are removed. This is followed by a 24-hour dry fermentation, washing, and finally 15 days of drying on raised beds. The carefully controlled process allows the natural character of both the variety and the origin itself to shine through.
