About Dark Woods Coffee

Dark Woods Coffee is an adventurous coffee roaster, Barista school, and pop-up café nestled on the edge of Marsden village in the West Yorkshire Pennines. They roast their coffee by hand on a 1950’s Probat drum roaster in a beautifully refurbished Victorian textile mill beside the Huddersfield Narrow Canal and River Colne.

Though Dark Woods was born in 2013, the history of its founding partners takes in many years’ experience in roasting, sourcing, consultancy, training and machine development within the UK coffee industry. It is this collective knowledge and expertise that has allowed them to rapidly establish a growing customer base that includes some of the country’s top cafés and restaurants.

More than anything they want the finest coffee to be enjoyable and accessible to everyone by offering a range of roasts and styles that truly reflects what people want to drink.

Very tasty and rich whiskey flavour. it's true. i make filter coffee all the time and even my boyfriend who doesn't know coffee can feel the difference. we really like it
aesthetically pleasing packaging. that's important to me too :)
rich flavour, for lovers of not light taste just right. who likes coffee with a lighter intensity, I would think

I believe it would be nice for espresso, this "espresso" aeropress method gives pretty good results https://aeromatic.app/recipes/…
Even though the roasting is omni, they say on the coffee packaging that it is more suitable for espresso.
In the classic preparation for the filter, I find the flavors rather bland, rather the coffee is so bitter.

Hello, I would like to ask if you will still be stocking this coffee in the coming year (2023)? I have been buying direct from Darkwoods, but they recently stopped shipping out of the UK. I am based in the Netherlands but I will be away until February, planning to get some when I am back if you'll still have it in stock!
#Swan:

Krásný den. :)

Pakliže bude tato káva i nadále v Dark Woods pražena, tak ji určitě máme v plánu naskladňovat průběžně i během roku 2023.

S pozdravem

Hello, I would like to ask if the coffee will be available again and if so, approximately when? :) Thanks in advance for your answer. Best regards, Vlada

Vlad:

Beautiful day, Vlad.

Thank you for your inquiry. This coffee was already on its way to us, but unfortunately it didn't quite work out and the transport service managed to spill it somewhere on the way from abroad. For that reason, stocking will be delayed a bit, but it will definitely still be available until the end of this year. :) I believe that you will definitely enjoy barrel coffee from another roaster. :)

Sincerely
Kryštof from Kofia

Hello :) I would like to ask about coffee from Dark Woods (specifically barrel aged). The fact that it is currently sold out is only temporary or you will not have it in the offer for a longer time (if it is somehow related to Brexit)? Thank you very much :)

Hanka Slobodová: Good day Hanka :), thank you for your question. The coffee is on its way, but it's taking longer due to Brexit :(. The coffee will be in stock again. Regards, Hanka
