Get ready for a tropical ride you won't find on any beach! Tropicana from Slovak roaster Concept Coffee Roasters is a coffee that will refresh and cheer you up – every sip explodes with coconut, fresh lime, and tropical fruit. It's an experience that will delight anyone who loves playfulness and exotic flavors in their cup.

Behind this exceptional flavor is Rodrigo Sanchez Valencia, who represents the third generation of farmers from the Finca Monteblanco farm in Colombia . His farm is located in the Huila region, near the protected Cueva de los Guacharos National Park and the Suaza River. The high altitude and unique microclimate give this area ideal conditions for growing specialty coffee. Rodrigo grows varieties such as Geisha, Pink Bourbon, and Caturra, which is the basis for Tropicana, on his farm. The Caturra variety is known for its citrus freshness and delicate sweetness, which is exactly what makes this coffee so special.

Tropicana undergoes a natural + coferment process, in which a mixture of 10 types of yeast, dried coconut, cholupa (Colombian citrus) and sweeteners such as molasses or panela are added to the coffee cherries. First, the fruit mixture is fermented for 8 days, then the coffee cherries are added and the process continues for another 180 hours. This unique process ensures that the coffee has a truly distinctive tropical profile that is juicy, fragrant, and absolutely unforgettable. Tropicana is simply a coffee for those who want to taste something different, fun , and tropical—a coffee that will always surprise and never disappoint.

It's an interesting coffee if you like trying co-fermented beans.
I couldn't find even a hint of coconut or mango in it.
At first, I extracted it correctly, and the coffee scared me—it was too strong. I had to deliberately under-extract it to make it drinkable.
IMHO, it tastes like boozy apricot and nothing else, no tropical fruit. I understand, oddly specific. Imagine apricot brandy or moonshine made from apricots, that's what it smells like when apricots ferment in a barrel. I was expecting something like Coco Bongo, but it's more like a boozy version of Orange Fruit.
In the end, it's probably an acquired taste, and I started doing the extraction right, and now I like it. But I wouldn't buy it again.
