Kaffa brings coffee like a vacation by the sea, but in a cup—fresh, exotic, playful. The first sip brings a delicate citrus freshness, slightly reminiscent of lemonade, with juicy notes of tropical fruits such as mango and passion fruit. As you drink, a smooth, creamycoconut texture is added, giving the cup a relaxed, almost dessert-like character. Overall, the cup has a light to medium creaminess, with a distinctly fruity, tropical profile — ideal for anyone looking for something unorthodox, playful, and different from classic Colombian coffee.

It comes from the regions of Tolima, Huila, and Caldas—lands of rocky mountains, rich soil, and ideal conditions for growing select Arabica, specifically the Pink Bourbon variety. The beans come from farmers who have joined together in the Forest Coffee network. The farm where processing is concentrated is called El Vergel Estate. Thanks to the high altitude (approximately 1,750 meters above sea level) and the careful work of local growers, the coffee has a distinctive terroir—each bean captures the climate, soil, and careful selection of harvested cherries. The goal is to preserve the taste and character of the origin as faithfully as possible, and Tropical Splash is great proof that it works.

The processing of coffee at Tropical Splash is very original—it involves co-fermentation: freshly harvested whole cherries are anaerobically fermented together with coconut water and dried coconut for 144 hours in closed tanks. This allows exotic, tropical, and coconut aromatic substances to be transferred to the beans—the basis for the tropical profile. This is followed by drying the whole cherries in the sun for about 30 days, during which time lemon peel is sometimes added to the drying process, giving the resulting coffee a subtle citrus sparkle and a fresh, slightly refreshing aftertaste. Finally, the beans rest in protective bags for about 45 days before being milled and packaged—this helps stabilize the profile, balance the flavor, and ensure that the cup is as the producer intended. This makes it truly unique—each cup is a taste experience that surprises with its tropical character, freshness, and exotic complexity.
