In the cup, it reveals vibrant notesof tropicaland ripe fruit, perfectly balanced with a deep, rich finish reminiscent of cocoa beans. Despite its intensity, the coffee remains clean and balanced, making it an ideal choice for your daily ritual as well as for those seeking something unique in their coffee.

Behind this lot stands the Gasharu family, who grow coffee on their farm in the Nyamasheke region, located near the border with Congo. The Red Bourbon variety ripens here at an altitude exceeding 1,750 meters above sea level, which gives it its characteristic density and acidity. The family’s philosophy is to connect growers directly with consumers and to constantly raise quality standards. The 2025 harvest is the result of a precise selection of cherries and strict quality control, making the resulting profile cleaner and brighter than in previous years.

Its unique flavor profile is achieved through anaerobicprocessing. Whole, hand-picked cherries at optimal ripeness are sealed in airtight containers without oxygen exposure. During extended fermentation, specific acids and esters develop, imparting exotic fruity notes to the coffee. Subsequent slow drying with the bean still inside the cherry adds body and sweetness to the cup. Thanks to the masterful execution of this process, the coffee is full of energy without exhibiting the unpleasant fermentation aftertastes that are a common risk with this method.
