DAK Coffee Roasters presents Solstice Blend – a blend that connects two worlds and two coffee cultures. In one cup, you will find washed coffee from the Gitwe Washing Station in Burundi and an experimentally processed lot of Castillo from Finca Los Patios in Colombia, which has undergone fermentation with fruit juice. The result? An unexpectedly sweet and round flavor with notes of guava, cardamom, and mint, which is playful and refreshing, yet surprisingly deep. Thanks to an altitude of around 1 , 900 meters above sea level, the blend retains its beautiful purity and distinctive aroma.
TheBurundian part of the blend comes from the famous Gitwe station, where coffee is grown on slopes with rich volcanic soil and harvested by hand with attention to detail. On the other hand , there is the Colombian Finca Los Patios, which is not afraid to experiment and, thanks to the co-fermentation technique, creates coffees with a completely unique character. The combination of these two regions is like a meeting of two friends who differ in character but together create harmony - the classic purity of Burundian Arabica is combined here with the fruity explosion of Colombian Castillo.
Processing is key to the final flavor profile. Burundi undergoes a traditional washed process that preserves its purity and delicacy. The Colombian part is fermented with fruit juice, which brings juicy tropical tones and an unusual sweetness to the blend. Together, the result is a blend that offers a complex experience in the cup. First , you will be refreshed by guava and mint, then the delicate spice of cardamom will gradually unfold, and finally, a round sweet aftertaste will linger, tempting you to take another sip.
