Nicaragua Monte Cristo from Prague roasteryNot Another Boring Roasteryis a coffee with a distinctive, fruity-sweet character and velvety body, perfectly combining the freshness of Central America with the intense sweetness of tropical fruit. The taste features notes of strawberries, mangoes, and rum pralines, complemented by a subtle touch of cardamom and dark chocolate. The acidity is delicate and fruity, the body full and smooth, with a long, sweet finish. The cup is harmonious, clean, and naturally sweet—ideal for filter or gentler brewing methods.
The Monte Cristo farm is located in the Peñas Blancas area of the Jinotega department, one of Nicaragua's most famous coffee regions. It is surrounded by misty tropical forests and the Bosawás Biosphere Reserve, which provide a unique microclimate. On fertile volcanic soil and in the shade of tall trees, the coffee cherries ripen slowly, giving them high density, fullness, and natural sweetness. The farm is run by Victor Robelo, a producer who combines family tradition with a modern, precise approach to coffee cultivation and processing.
This coffee is processed using the natural method at Las Nubes Dry Mill. Carefully hand-picked cherries are dried on raised beds for 35-40 days, slowly and in the shade. This transfers maximum fruit sweetness and depth to the beans. The result is a complex, juicy, and elegant coffee with a cupping score of 87 points—a true expression of Nicaraguan specialty quality.
