Fall is here, and with it comes our new Kofio Exclusive limited-edition AUTUMN WONDERLAND from the Dutch roastery DAK Coffee Roasters. We selected this coffee specifically for the season of long evenings, cozy blankets, chilly mornings, and the first falling leaves. This washed Kenyan coffee is beautifully juicy, sweet, and elegant all at once. On the palate, you’ll find pronounced blackberries, delicate vanilla, and notes of dark to purple fruit, which together create a cup tailor-made for autumn comfort. Brew yourself a cup of coffee, curl up under a blanket, and enjoy our limited edition, which will only be available for a limited time.

This coffee comes from Kirinyaga County, one of Kenya’s most renowned coffee-growing regions. The cherries were processed at the Kerugoya Factory, which is part of the Inoi Farmers Cooperative Society. Coffee trees of the Batian, Ruiru II, SL28, and SL34 varieties grow here at approximately 1, 800 meters above sea level. The high altitude and local conditions give the coffee its typical Kenyan juiciness, liveliness, and beautifully distinct fruity notes.

In the washed process, the skin and most of the pulp are removed from the coffee cherries after harvest. The beans are then fermented to release residual mucilage, thoroughly washed, and left to dry. The washed processing helps highlight the clarity, fresh acidity, and distinct fruity notes that are beautifully evident in this limited-edition Kenyan coffee.
