What if the scent of a blooming garden could be captured in a cup of coffee? That’s exactly the impression created by the Colombian Floral Mist from the Slovak roastery Concept Coffee, which blends juicy peaches, red berries, and fresh citrus zest. The entire flavor profile is beautifully complemented by a distinctive floral aroma, which stands out especially in the aroma and lends the coffee a light, elegant character. The result is a juicy and pleasantly aromatic cup in which the fruity and floral notes harmonize perfectly.

Behind this coffee are producers Nestor Lasso and Jhon Vergara from the Peñas Blancas farm, located in the Acevedo area of Colombia’s Huila region. The farm is situated near the Serranía de Peñas Blancas protected mountain area, known for its rich biodiversity, native forests, and pristine water sources that feed the surrounding rivers. The coffee trees here grow in fertile volcanic soil, and thanks to the cooler mountain climate, they enjoy ideal conditions for ripening. The Acevedo area itself is among Colombia’s most renowned coffee-growing regions, and the local coffee was granted a Protected Designation of Origin in 2013.

Floral Mist is a blend of the Colombia and Castillo varieties, which were bred with an emphasis on productivity and resistance to coffee rust. When carefully cultivated, both varieties offer a sweet and balanced flavor profile. The coffee undergoes the special Sacha Washed method, which is based on washed processing. First, ripe cherries are carefully selected, then undergo pulping and controlled fermentation. Once fermentation is complete, the remaining pulp and mucilage are removed by washing with water. The beans are then slowly dried under controlled conditions until they reach the desired moisture content.
