This Rwanda Kageyo from the Brno roaster Industra Coffee is like a summer fruit salad in a cup – juicy, fresh, and fruity sweet. Look forward to a super juicy coffee full of ripe gooseberries, nectarines , and sweet raisins that blend beautifully into a harmonious whole. It's a coffee that will wake you up but also caress you.
The greatest charm of this coffee lies in its origin. Western Rwanda, specifically the Cyato sector in the Nyamasheke district, is home to a group of small farmers associated with the Abadatezuka cooperative. They grow coffee on slopes surrounded by the Nyungwe Forest and deliver their cherries to the Cyato washing station. It is the proximity of this forest, one of the largest and best-preserved rainforests in Central Africa, that plays a crucial role – not only in the microclimate, but also in the pollination of the coffee trees themselves. Local bees are involved in pollinating the coffee flowers, which can influence the complexity of the flavor. And that is something you won't find just anywhere.
Processing is carried out using the washed method at the Cyato Washing Station. It was built with the support of the Abadatezuka cooperative, which also brings farmers together. All members farm organically, without chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Thanks to the washed processing and high altitude, the resulting cup has a beautifully clean and delicately fruity profile.
