About Merrybeans
Merrybeans – A Roastery with a Story That Smells Like Coffee!

Merrybeans is a small family business with a big heart and an even bigger passion for specialty coffee. Its name pays homage to the great-grandfather's roastery "Maruška," which operated in Budyně nad Ohří before World War II. The story, dating back to the 1950s when the original roastery was nationalized, came back to life thanks to founder Vojta and his family. From "Maruška" came "Merry" – a symbol of joy, a return to roots, and an honest approach to coffee.

Today, Merrybeans is located beneath Prague's Vyšehrad in Neklanova Street, where a cozy space combines a roastery, café, and small shop in one. In the basement, they bake and roast; on the ground floor, they serve. In addition to freshly roasted coffee, visitors will find handmade desserts, fine wines, quality chocolates, and stylish coffee accessories. Whether you stop by for an espresso, filter coffee, or just a chat, every visit to Merrybeans becomes a pleasant ritual.

Behind the brand stands Vojta – a roaster and coffee enthusiast, his fiancée Magda, father Marek, and other kind-hearted people who form a small but tightly knit team. Together, they believe coffee can be not only exceptional in taste but also exceptionally human. Merrybeans is all about the joy of coffee, family tradition, honesty, and community. And it's precisely this combination that has quickly made the roastery a favorite spot not just among locals but also among anyone who wants to taste coffee with a story.
