Ethiopia Banko Gotiti from Gringo Nordic roastery is a coffee that will light up your morning like the first rays of the sun in Yirgacheffe. This natural micro-lot will greet you with aromas of apricots, tangerines and passion fruit - ripe, juicy fruit that wafts through the cup like a summer breeze. Suitable for the filter, ideal for those who love juicy, fresh and naturally sweet coffees with a subtle floral aftertaste. And what's the best thing about it? It's the so-called Special Preparation - an extremely carefully selected lot where every detail plays a role.
This coffee is sourced from small family farms around Banko Gotiti station, high in the Yirgacheffe hills - at altitudes of up to 2,400m above sea level . Coffee is not just a crop here - it is a major source of livelihood and a source of pride. Only a limited number of farmers supply cherries to this particular lot, and 90% of the berries must be perfectly red. They are all picked on a single day, ensuring maximum freshness and consistency.
Once delivered to the station, the coffee is soaked in water for two hours - a special step that locals say brings out an even more pronounced sweetness. The berries are then slowly dried on raised tables for up to 30 days, in a thin layer and in ideal conditions with plenty of air. This careful drying process gives the coffee its delicate body, fruity aroma and exceptional purity. It is the taste of Ethiopia at its most natural - wild, fragrant, sweet and unforgettable. If you love fruity filters, you simply must try this one.
