Colombia La Maria from Friedhatsis a coffee that makes an impression from the very first sniff. Sidra from the La Mesa region in Cundinamarca is proof that when you combine an honest farm, attention to detail, and the right variety, you get a cup that tastes luxurious yet natural. The flavor profile is unexpectedly refined and playful at the same time. Imagine Earl Grey black tea with a honey-like smoothness and a juicy strawberry note that brightens it all up. It is a coffee that will put you in a slower mood and remind you that even filter coffee can taste like a little celebration.

The La Maria farm is located in the hilly landscape of Cundinamarka, specifically in the La Mesa area, where coffee trees thrive thanks to the balanced climate and altitude of 1,660-1,750 meters above sea level. Orlando and Emilsen have been growing coffee here for several years so that each harvest reflects the character of the place and the variety. When their coffees were first tasted a few years ago, they were so impressive that several processing methods were purchased at once, as it was difficult to choose just one. This year, the choice was between two varieties grown on the farm, Gesha and Sidra. In the end, as is often the case with exceptional coffees, both were chosen. Compared to Gesha, this Sidra is slightly more floral and delicate in character, yet it retains the farm's signature sweet tea base with honey depth.

The natural processing allows the coffee to shine in all its glory. The cherries are dried whole after harvesting, so the beans gradually absorb the sweetness and fruitiness of the pulp, resulting in a rounder, more fragrant, and layered cup. With Sidra from La Maria, this means a beautifully connected impression that is clean but definitely not boring. The natural sweetness does not try to overwhelm the other components, but rather smoothly combines them into one elegant whole. This coffee is a great choice for moments when you want something special, but at the same time balanced and easy to drink. Ideal for slow morning starts and quiet afternoons when you want to lose yourself in a cup for a moment.
