Friedhats Roastery is introducing another coffee from the La Maria farm in Colombia, this time a Gesha variety. In the cup , mandarin, raspberry, and papaya come together. The mandarin brings a fresh citrus acidity, the raspberry a pleasant fruity sweetness, and the papaya adds a juicy tropical character. The result is a distinctive and aromatic coffee with a clean fruit profile and a slightly playful character. The coffee is roasted as an omni roast, so you can brew it using either a lever espresso machine or any alternative brewing method. This allows you to choose your brewing method based on how bold and juicy you prefer your cup to be.

La Maria is located in the Cundinamarca region of Colombia, specifically in the La Mesa area, at an elevation of 1,660–1,750 meters. This lot consists of the Gesha variety, which is known for its distinctive aroma and complex flavor profile. Friedhats regularly selects interesting lots from the La Maria farm, and this one is no exception. The coffee offers a pronounced fruity character that works well with various brewing methods while allowing you to gradually discover its individual flavor notes.

The coffee is processed using the anaerobic natural method. Fermentation takes place in sealed tanks, and once complete, the coffee is dried gradually in several stages. This processing method helps enhance the sweetness and intensity of the fruity profile without masking the character of the variety itself. The result is a juicy, sweet, and aromatic cup full of playfulness.
