The Buenavista farm is located in the Huila region of Colombia, known for its specific microclimate and diverse harvest throughout the year. It is owned by Carlos Imbachi and his family—his wife Yolanda and their children, several of whom are actively involved in running the farm or working in quality control and coffee export. The Imbachi family are among the pioneers of specialty coffee in the region and have a long-standing focus on sustainable production and innovation in both cultivation and processing.
This coffee combines two premium varieties: Geisha, renowned for its floral aroma, citrus freshness, and delicacy, and Pink Bourbon, a genetically rare variety with naturally high sweetness and a fruity character. Both varieties have been processed using the traditional washed method, which emphasizes the purity of flavors and enhances their complexity. After being hand-picked, the cherries are fermented in water, then washed and dried on African beds in the gentle shade, which helps to preserve their aromatic delicacy and balance. The flavor profile of this coffee is clearly defined yet multi-layered, with sweet notes of plum and lychee complemented by lemongrass and floral aromas typical of Geisha.
