This coffee from Colombia is a select single origin that showcases the classic quality of South American Arabica in a modern, clean yet velvety finish. London-based roaster Dark Arts Coffee has set the profile so that the coffee stands out in both espresso and finer filters, yet retains its depth and distinctiveness. The cup is dominated by a smooth cocoa note , which is naturally complemented by unusual, fresh tones of dragon fruitand a light, slightly aromatic hint reminiscent of martini – resulting in a rich, layered and memorable taste without unnecessary excessive acidity or sharp tones. This profile will be appreciated by those looking for a coffee with character and a distinctive flavor signature, but without compromising on drinkability.

This coffee comes from the Valle del Cauca region of Colombia , where it is grown on various estates such as Las Margaritas, La Esperanza, Potosí, and Cerro Azul. The coffee is produced by Café Granja La Esperanza, a family business with a long tradition, whose Herrera family specializes in innovation in varieties and careful fermentation styles so that each bean achieves the best possible quality. These estate farms are located in a hilly landscape with rich soil and alternating temperatures, which promotes balanced growth and complex flavor development in the beans. The coffee is grown at an altitude of 1,400-1,860 meters above sea level, where the microclimate and terroir contribute to a delicate balance of sweetness, freshness, and structural depth, typical of Colombian Arabicas with high potential.

Processing is done using the natural (dry) method, which has become popular in recent years among producers who want to emphasize full body and rich fruitiness. After being picked by hand, the red cherries are dried together with the pulp on raised beds, allowing for slow, even evaporation of water and natural development of aromas. This process gives the coffee a distinctive fruitiness, sweetness, and texture that you can enjoy to the fullest—whether you're making an intense espresso or a milder filter coffee. The result is a cup with a complex flavor, delicate texture, and enhanced cocoa taste complemented by an exotic fruity touch that makes this coffee a truly exceptional experience.
