The Godoy Tavares family lives for coffee. It is therefore not difficult to succumb to the charm of this Brazilian family from the mountainous region of Minas Gerais. Behind every bag of coffee are three generations of experience and dedication, all thanks to grandfather Hélio. He originally worked as a civil engineer, but after taking over the farm from his grandfather, he fell in love with coffee. He left city life behind and settled on the Fazenda Piedade farm – "fazenda" is the Portuguese word for plantation, "piedade" means mercy, compassion or kindness. Today, their coffee is brewed during the morning rush in many cities around the world. After Hélio's death, his children and widow took over the farm, together with six other families. The farm is not just a source of livelihood for them – it creates a community, provides healthcare, and opens up educational opportunities for children in the surrounding area.

The coffee is processed using the natural method, where the coffee cherries are dried directly with the pulp on sun terraces. This processing method gives the coffee a distinctive sweetness and full body, which is perfectly suited to an intense espresso profile.
