Baseline from Typika Roasters is an espresso blend designed for everyday enjoyment. It is sweet, well-balanced, and easy to prepare both at home and in the office. In the cup, notes of chocolate, hazelnut, and caramel unfold, creating a full-bodied and comforting profile with minimal acidity. The espresso is smooth, creamy, and very approachable, so you’ll enjoy it on its own or in a cappuccino or latte. It’s exactly the kind of coffee that works reliably every day and never gets old.
The base of the blend consists of 80% Brazilian coffee from the Serra da Mantiqueira region, known for its sweet and chocolatey profiles. Thanks to dry processing, it brings a fuller body, pronounced sweetness, and a subtle nuttiness to the blend. The second component is a 20% Guatemalan regional blend from the Antigua area, which was processed using the washed method. Antigua is renowned for its volcanic soil and ideal conditions for growing coffee, which manifests in the final cup as a delicate texture and light freshness that beautifully balances the blend.
The combination of naturally processed Brazilian beans and washed Guatemalan beans creates a harmonious espresso blend with an emphasis on sweetness, stability, and smoothness. The Brazilian component adds body and a caramel-chocolate base, while Guatemala brings clarity and light elegance. The result is a versatile espresso with a creamy body and a pleasantly long finish that works great in both automatic coffee machines and a classic espresso setup.
