I tried the V60 and the Next Level Pulsar with various brewing times and coffee-to-water ratios, but I didn't get the flavor profile described…

Milky Cake - I really like the taste of this cake
No matter what I do, I haven't been able to replicate the flavor and body of the Milky Cake steeped bags I bought last year
Even though the name is the same, the experience isn't entirely consistent. This is likely due to variations caused by the weather and other factors.
The flavor profile has a subtle hint of peas, just like in other milder coffees from Colombia. It wasn't noticeable last year.

A distinct jasmine aroma, with citrusy and floral notes. It's like coffee lemonade :-)
It might be a little too tart for some people. But it's perfect for hot summer days.

An absolutely generic coffee flavor with nothing distinctive or recognizable about it
When using Apax drops, there is a very, very subtle fruity note in the background, but it’s absolutely indistinct. When adding Jamm drops, there’s a very, very mild cocoa aftertaste, but no fruit at all, not even in the background.
It was impossible to get anything interesting out of this coffee; it was roasted on June 29, 2026.
The first coffee from DAK that completely disappointed me

The most overrated coffee roaster. Unfortunately. I keep giving it another chance. But this time, it’s the last time. I understand that everyone has different tastes. But it’s never really hit the spot for me. Completely ordinary and unremarkable.

Tastes good
This bean is actually a bit harder, so you need a grinder that can handle it (Niche ground it with no problem). But that’s generally the bane of some Ethiopian beans.
