Kenya NYERI capsules are proof that select coffee goes perfectly with the Nespresso® format . Each aluminum capsule, compatible with Original Line machines, contains 100% Arabica from Kenya's Nyeri region—grown at high altitudes and medium-roasted for maximum purity and elegance. The flavor profile is delicately balanced (intensity 6) with fruity freshness, notes of blackberries, and subtle chocolate. This capsule is not only a convenient choice, but also an honest way to enjoy truly high-quality coffee without barista skills.
The beans come from the Nyeri region, where coffee is grown by a number of small farming families. Harvesting takes place during the "winter" – which in the context of equatorial Africa means a cooler, drier period ideal for slow ripening of the fruit. Coffee from this area is considered one of the most complex and intense in the world, and it's no wonder – it grows at altitudes where the fruit has to cope with extreme conditions. It is the combination of traditional varieties such as SL28, SL34 and the modern Batian, together with careful hand harvesting, that gives rise to batches with exceptional aromatic potential and sparkling acidity.
The coffee is processed at the Kiamwangi station, where traditional methods are still used. All cherries are carefully sorted, processed by hand and then fermented in water for at least 24 hours. This is followed by thorough washing with clean spring water and slow drying on African beds. This fully washed method gives the resulting coffee a clean, clear flavor profile with a light body and lively acidity. The result is a top-quality Kenyan coffee that retains its character even in capsule form and offers an experience that surpasses the usual standard of home espresso.
