Juicy, bright and distinctly fruity – that's exactly what this Kenyan coffee is like, bringing harmony between freshness and sweetness. The flavor develops notes of candied orange peel, rhubarb and apricot, creating an energetic yet balanced profile. Each sip brings citrus liveliness, complemented by the sweet and sour character of rhubarb and notes of dried fruit. The ideal filter for lovers of clean, elegant and juicy coffees that will captivate you from the first sip to the long finish.

This coffee comes from the Kirinyaga region, one of the most renowned coffee-growing areas in Kenya. The high altitude of around 1,700 meters and rich volcanic soil create ideal conditions for growing specialty coffee. The coffee cherries are supplied by around 800 small farmers who are members of the Rwama Farmers Cooperative Society. They bring their harvest to the Kimatu processing station, where the SL28 and SL34 varieties are traditionally grown – known for their drought resistance and exceptional flavor. These varieties are complemented by the more modern Batian and Ruiru 11, which have been bred for greater resistance to disease and changing conditions – the result is a cup that combines the best of the classic and the contemporary.

Processing is carried out using the washed method, which is often preferred for its emphasis on purity of flavor. After harvesting, the cherries are mechanically stripped of their skin and the pulp is left to ferment in water. This is followed by careful washing and drying on raised African beds. This method allows the coffee's natural acidity and clarity to develop beautifully, in this case highlighting its citrus-fruity character. The result is a cup that is precisely balanced, brightly fruity, and a great representation of the best of Kenyan production.
