This coffee represents the pinnacle of Indonesian production and will captivate you with its intense aroma and rich body. The name "Manis" means "sweet" in the local language, which perfectly captures its profile reminiscent of a strawberry milkshake and syrupy sweetness. Layers of dried mango and guava gradually unfold in the cup, complemented by a gentle cider-like effervescence and a note of grilled pink grapefruit in the aftertaste. With a cupping score of 88 points, it is the ideal experience for lovers of modern, distinctly fruity coffees with a lively acidity and creamy texture.
Behind this unique coffee are husband and wife Wildan Mustofa and Atieq Mustikaningtyas, who have been building their family farm, Frinsa Estate, in the Weninggalih region of West Java since 2010. The region is characterized by fertile volcanic soil rich in minerals and a stable microclimate, which gives the beans an unprecedented depth of flavor. This lot from the 2025 harvest combines several varieties grown at optimal altitudes, creating a complex profile that continues to evolve in the cup. The entire production process is carried out with great respect for nature and under strict quality control.
The coffee’s uniqueness lies in an innovative extended natural fermentation process that lasted a full 96 hours. The whole cherries rested in tanks submerged in water, allowing enzymes to concentrate the maximum amount of fruit sugars from the pulp into the beans. Subsequent drying on sunny tarps ensured the stability and purity of the flavor profile without unwanted notes. The result is absolutely ideal for filter brewing.
